FMC Podcast

People all over the world are dying every day without knowing the love of Jesus. At Family Missions Company, we address this by sharing the Gospel, serving the poor, and making disciples across the globe. When we make real friends with the poor, lives are transformed, hope is restored, and the Kingdom of God grows. Go! You Are Sent takes you into the world of lay Catholic foreign missions. We interview missionaries, hear their testimonies, and explore the adventure and challenges of foreign evangelization. In addition, we cover a range of topics every Catholic can relate to such as the call to holiness, discerning the will of God, and much more. Subscribe to "Go! You Are Sent" wherever you get your podcasts!

Justice is not liberal or conservative: Justice is a Christian duty. And we aren't dutiful, just Christians if (1) we have more than we need, (2) others don't have what they need, and (3) we do nothing about it. As St. Paul tells us, "If someone who has worldly means sees a brother in need and refuses him compassion, how can the love of God remain in him? Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth." (1 John 3:17-18) In the latest podcast, Matt and Jonathan – recognizing their failings – discuss this challenging subject.

In 2014, FMC co-founder Frank Summers gave this keynote address at PROCLAIM, a Catholic missions conference. We live in the age of the New Evangelization. A basic element of every Catholic life must be a lively understanding of the Gospel of Jesus, and a willingness to sow the seeds of that Word everywhere on earth today. This is the time for experiencing and sharing the “joy of the Gospel.” Sharing from Pope Francis' "Evangelii Gaudium" (The Joy of the Gospel) and George Weigel's "Evangelical Catholicism," Frank Summers shares about how today is the age of evangelical Catholicism.

Join us for Part 2 of the discussion... A man on a street corner holds up a sign with Bible verses and lists of people who are going to Hell... Evangelizing or Proselytizing? What's the difference? Is that even a good example for discussing the difference? Why are we even talking about this? Matt and Jonathan discuss.
